July 6, 2017

The website BestColleges.com has put TROY in the top spot for its 2017 list of the “Best Online Colleges in Alabama.”

The site ranks colleges based on quality, affordability, and online competency. TROY was praised for its cost, flexibility and services available to online students, including the virtual student union Trojan Café.

“Troy University is Alabama’s online leader,” said Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr. “We are proud that we serve students in 13 time zones, but there’s one standard, and that’s academic excellence. We want our programs to be the very best they can be in order to serve those students who look to us for academic leadership.”

According to BestColleges.com, colleges featured in their rankings demonstrate a commitment to high-quality education for their students.

Dr. Glynn Cavin, Associate Vice Chancellor for TROY Online, said the ranking reflects TROY’s “student-first” philosophy.

“TROY Online continues to lead online education in Alabama by offering our students a robust support infrastructure, including our Student Success Team and the Trojan Café. As a direct result of the impeccable quality of instruction and courses, and desirable degree programs, Troy University graduates are highly sought after by employers. Most importantly, this is all accomplished at a very affordable rate, making a college education and the resulting opportunities for success, more accessible for more online learners.”
