Students looking for a major can narrow down options at Major Madness

March 28, 2017

Troy University students still looking for the right major, or contemplating a change, can learn about their options during the Major Madness fair on Wednesday at the Troy Campus.

The event is for all students who are either undeclared, unsure about the major they’ve chosen, or want to explore different career options within major, said Emily Reiss, Career Counselor.

“The Major Madness Career and Major Exploration Fair is a unique opportunity where students can talk with faculty representing all majors TROY offers,” Reiss said. “Typically, students must glean this information on an individual departmental basis, so the convenience of having all majors in one location is a can’t miss opportunity.  Although all students can benefit from speaking with professors about careers related to their major at this event, underclassmen should particularly use this opportunity to compare career paths and solidify their choice of major.”

Major Madness will be held from 2-4 pm inside the Trojan Arena. Participants can narrow their options down to a “final four” and declare a major during the event at the Records table.

The event is sponsored by Career Services, the Undeclared Program and Athletics.
