The golf scramble raises scholarship money for Dothan area high schoolers.
The 16th Jackson Thornton Troy University Alumni Invitational golf tournament is seeking more participants to sign up and raise scholarship money for area high schoolers.
The tournament, which is a scramble, currently has 50 teams signed up to compete, with all money going to fund scholarships for Wiregrass area students.
The tournament is set for Thursday, Oct. 5 with a shotgun start at noon on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Highland Oaks in Dothan.
In addition to tournament sponsors Jackson Thornton and the Wiregrass Chapter of the TROY Alumni Association, other sponsors thus far include Martin Environmental Services; Holloway Credit Solutions; Flowers Insurance Agency; Sodexo; Troy Cable; Five Star Credit Union; Scenic Cable Network; Armstrong & Jordan, P.C.; Dowling Tractor; WOOF FM Sports Talk; ScreenTech; and Hobo Pantry.
